Just about any DJ who’s seen the Korg Kaoss Pad and its incredible interactive effects has either bought one or is dying to get one. Numark is killing two birds with one stone for DJs by melding the Kaoss Pad (licensed from Korg) with its own feature-laden, 3-channel mixer. The resulting morph is the EM-360.
All the features of the original Kaoss Pad are left intact on the EM-360, and that includes the five seconds of sampling time. At a $650 list price, it’s a reasonable value once you factor what a Kaoss Pad would otherwise cost you ($350), and it’s a no-brainer for DJs looking to add controllable effects to their sets.
